WASHINGTON—Republican and Democratic lawmakers united Monday about needs that the White House depth intelligence indicating Russia had paid out bounties to insurgents to have American forces killed in Afghanistan, and clarify why President Trump apparently wasn’t briefed on the risk to U.S. troops.

Senior Republicans in Congress, who usually are supportive of Mr. Trump, stated that even if the intelligence isn’t nonetheless fully verified, it really should be taken seriously and the president really should have been manufactured conscious of it.
