BRUSSELS—Europe’s deployment of 5G mobile-communications networks is alarmingly slow, claims a lobbying team of the Continent’s major companies, warning that Europe is considerably at the rear of other locations in spite of becoming dwelling to two of the world’s major telecommunications companies.

“It is not much too late to shut the gap with the United States, South Korea and China,” reported the European Round Desk for Industry in a report released Friday, “but it is urgent to take motion to deal with that gap.”
